1. What do you remember about your time at the college?
I had supportive teachers, developed great friendships and was provided with many valuable opportunities to participate in co-curricular activities including sport and student leadership. I felt a sense of belonging to the College community.
2. Did you have a career plan in high school?
I had several ideas in mind that focused around the psychology and human services fields. I finished year 12 keen to study Psychology at university.
3. What were the significant milestones of your time at high school?
I really enjoyed playing with the school basketball team at the National School Basketball Tournaments in Canberra, holding various leadership positions and travelling to Japan.
4. Do you have any words of wisdom for our current students?
Have no regrets! Make the most of every opportunity presented, try your best and take advantage of everything the College has to offer you.
5. Where are you now?
Back at Penola! After secondary school I studied Health Science and Education at University, worked in community health and local government, taught English in South Korea, travelled around Europe and worked in Northern NSW (Tweed Heads and Byron Bay). I feel very fortunate to now work as a Teacher at a College that provided me with many terrific opportunities and memories.
