Visual Art is an important outlet for the communication of ideas, feelings and beliefs. It is a major source of intellectual, physical, spiritual and emotional development, understanding and enjoyment.
From Year 7 to 12 subjects that are offered in the visual arts include art, visual communication and design, media and Interactive digital media.
Through these subjects, students work on drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, darkroom photography, digital photography, film, digital design, digital animation, website design and model construction.
At Penola the students can also experience the visual arts outside the classroom through art club, art explorers, senior art camp and the annual art exhibition.
At VCE (Victorian Certificate of Education) level, students are able to specialise in a range of subjects, for more information on each subject please click on the year level handbooks to the right.
