Special Education Teacher

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and highly skilled Special Education Teacher to teach in an innovative and contemporary environment from 2020. This is a part time (3 days per week 0.6 FTE) ongoing opportunity.

As an innovative Special Education Teacher you will strive to create a learning environment that enables all students to flourish. You will also deliver a collaborative and consistent approach to supporting the diverse needs of our students

EAL Counsellor/Psychologist

We have a fantastic opportunity for an EAL Counsellor/Psychologist to join the Penola family for 2020. This is a part time (2 days per week) fixed term position.

As the EAL Counsellor/Psychologist you will be responsible for the counselling of individual EAL students to support the social, emotional, cognitive, behavioural and educational development of the EAL student/s. You will provide both individual and group interventions with the aim of being proactive and preventive.

To be successful you must be able to read and/or write Chaldean / Assyrian / Arabic, have relevant training in counselling, be able to build effective relationships and work effectively within a team.

You will also have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children.

EAL and Religious Education Teacher

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and highly skilled English as a Language (EAL) and Religious Education Teacher (Years 7 & 8) to teach in an innovative and contemporary environment for Terms 1 and 2 2020. This is a fixed term part time position (0.48 FTE). The classes for 2020 include:

  • 1 x Year 7 Religious Education
  • 1 x Year 8 Religious Education
  • 1 x Year 8 EAL
  • 3 days Homeroom
