National Science Week
This term we will be running a range of special activities to celebrate science week.
In addition to the term 3 “What in the world is that?” microscope images guessing science competition, we will run a range of online activities for students to participate in during science week.
The theme this year is “Deep Blue: innovations for the future of our oceans.” For our year 7 and 8 students we had organised an incursion during the week of August 10th – 14th. This real life experience has now been turned into an online experience. It’s easy to attend, students will join their normal science class team meeting in the double period during that week so they can be involved in the presentation from the “Marine team”. We hope it will be an interesting remote learning incursion experience.
This year we are celebrating science week during the week of August 17th- 21st 2020. Across both campuses there will be a marine themed song and some facts in the daily news items for homerooms to share as well as a quiz each day and some exclusive content shared through STILE.
We look forward to celebrating science week with everyone!
