As we are now halfway through the term we have achieved so much during remote learning period. The positive feedback I have been receiving from our teachers has demonstrated the outstanding effort by our students who find themselves in difficult and unique circumstances.

Student Connection

The wellbeing teams at the Glenroy campus have initiated some student connection activities starting this week.  As a community we are conscious that our students especially in the younger years are missing that sense of connection to staff and their peers, which comes from being at school.  With this in mind we have asked all students to have their cameras on when having Teams meetings, as well as staff having small group conversations to whole year level activities.  We hope that this will aid in making the students feel more connected.

Year 8 Subject Selection

Our subject selections for Year 8s into 9 closed on Wednesday the 19th of August with all students in Year 8 required to submit their preferences for 2021. As the online selection has closed I ask all students who did not complete their online selection to please email Mr Greatwood.

Remote Learning Catch Up Club

On Wednesday afternoons, Year 7 and 8 students have the option of joining the Catch Up club from 3.00 to 3.30.  To access students log onto the homework club page located on the co-curricular section of MyPenola, under clubs and societies and click on the Glenroy Homework club link (as seen below).  I would like to thank Ms Kim Nguyen for her organisation and for those staff who are assisting with remote homework club.
