Welcome to the 2020 School Year on the Glenroy Campus.  We welcome back our 2020 Year 8s and a special welcome to the newest members of the Penola Community our Year 7s.

Year 7 Parent Information and Meet and Greet Night

On the 18th of February we will have our Year 7 Parent Information and Meet and Greet night at the Glenroy Campus.  The night will begin with your child’s homeroom teacher in their homeroom.  This is an opportunity to meet your child’s homeroom teacher, as well as being informed about some upcoming events such as Year 7 Camp. There will then be an information session starting at 7.00 in the Glenroy gymnasium.

CareMonkey is an online acceptance form where we have up-to-date medical and contact details available when your child is not on the campus.  Just a friendly reminder to all parents who are new to the college that if you have not already done so, could you please ensure that you have set up a CareMonkey account. The link to set up the account was emailed to the primary account holder.  Those parents who have a child starting this year but already have a child at the college can add a child to their existing account.

Swimming Carnival

On the 21st of February we have our annual swimming carnival at the Oak Park Pool.  Year 7 and 8 students will need to be at the reserve outside the pool by normal school start time (8.35) and will be dismissed from the pool by 3.00pm.  The Greenvale bus will run to and from the pool on the day, otherwise students will need to make their own way to and from the pool.  Please ensure you have completed the CareMonkey acceptance form for this activity.

School Pick Up

The end of the school day is a busy time at any school.  As the Glenroy Campus is in a residential area, parking to pick up your child can be problematic.  To prevent congestion can I suggest that you park your car a block away or alternatively have your child meet you at a designated spot.

The staff and I look forward to working with you and your child this year.
