The 2018 academic year is slowly winding down with the last of the exams being completed on the senior campus in the next few days. We hope that the endeavour shown by students over the past few months will reflect the results of the examinations. We wish them well.

Year 12 Graduation Dinner

The last of the Year 12 celebrations will take place next Friday. Year 12 students and their parents will be able to celebrate the end of their formal studies at Penola in the annual Year 12 Graduation Dinner. Pre-purchased tickets can be collected from the Accounts Department at the college. Tickets are non-transferable. We look forward to farewelling students at this formal event before they take hold of their own lives and venture forward to new and exciting experiences and careers.

Awards Night

The annual Penola Catholic College Awards Night will be held on Monday 26th November at the senior campus. This night is about showcasing the talents and efforts of our students in a variety of fields including, academic, sporting, student leadership, personal endeavour and community involvement. The night is a night of celebration, honouring these students who bring much pride to the college through their efforts and endeavours. We have much pleasure in inviting back to our college past student, Justine Cumbo, to talk about her experiences at Penola and the personal road travelled after her education here. Students who will be presented with awards on the night will receive a letter of invitation detailing time for arrival and dress code. We trust that this opportunity to recognise your child’s successes will be acknowledged by your attendance.

Headstart Program

The Headstart program is due to start on Wednesday 21st November for students in Years 10 -12 in 2019. This program will benefit students by giving them a glimpse of the studies that they have enrolled for in 2019. In its own right, it is the start of the new academic year and therefore students are required to attend school as per normal.  Please note that Monday 19th November and Tuesday 20th November are student free days as staff complete their exam corrections and use this valuable time to ready themselves for the Headstart experience.
