Year 12 Finish

As the Year 12 students prepare for their final stages of their formal education, we wish them every success. These students will be farewelled in a series of appreciation activities that start next Monday at the final College Assembly. On the following morning, they will have their annual dress up morning followed by a special breakfast with staff. They will also formally graduate on Tuesday night at Our Lady Guardian of the Plants Church in Campbellfield. The normal College expectations and standards of behaviour will be maintained during the course of these activities to ensure a safe and cheerful finish for all.

After Tuesday, Year 12 students are not required at school until their first examination. This time should be spent preparing for the upcoming exams, the first of which will be the English exam on Wednesday 31st October. We wish students undertaking exams every success.

College Scholarships

Applications for College Scholarships for students in Years 7 – 11 are now closed. There are four scholarships on offer for 2019: Academic Excellence, Personal Endeavour, Co-curricular Involvement and Community Spirit. The criteria for each of these scholarships highlight attributes that the College seeks to instil in students to become the mainstay of their personalities. A small panel of staff members is currently interviewing applicants, and because there are a large number of candidates, the announcement of the successful students will not be made until November.  The scholarships will then be presented to them at Awards Night later in the year. I wish each applicant every success.

Year 10 Ball

The annual Year 10 Ball will take place on Friday 19th October at Melrose Reception Centre. Over the years this has been a joyful event that highlights the growing maturity of students and develops their etiquette towards the opposite sex. Students have been practising their formal dances for a few months now and are ready for the showcase event. To ensure that students have ample time to get ready for the Ball, all Year 10 students will be finishing at the end of their period 4 class on Friday (12:45 pm).
